Fibromyalgia is characterized by chronic widespread pain, fatigue, and emotional distress. The prevalence ranges from1to5%population globally(Jones et al.,2015)and6%in a rural county survey in Taiwan.A unique presentation of sensory phenotype is the profound soreness precipitated by physical activity and exercise.Exercise-induced soreness leads to intense fatigue and emotional distress thereby compromising their quality of life.In United States and Europe, fibromyalgia victims are classified as major disability. They are eligible for both financial aid and full-scale social security compensation.Despite the social and clinical impact, current treatment remains challenging and unsatisfied because the underlying mechanism of soreness phenotypes and genotype is almost unknown.
