摘要

Discontinuous Deformation Analysis (DDA) method is an implicit method aimed at simulatingrnlarge displacement and large deformation of a blocky system with discontinuities. Since the displacementrnfield is usually approximated by the first-order polynomial functions, it leads to a constant stress/strain fieldrnwithin a block. Therefore, in order to improve DDA’s accuracy in modelling the complex stress field, a flattoprnpartition of unity based mesh with a high-order local approximation is utilized in this paper. The basicrntheory and formula for the flat-top partition of unity based high-order DDA in three-dimensional space arernpresented. Then, according to the corresponding code developed, a validation example is presented to verifyrnthis proposed method.
