It can be concluded that the keogram technology provides a fast, reliable and accurate methodology to monitor (moored) ship motions. Due to its inherent accuracy, the forces in mooring lines and fenders can also be determined with enough accuracy. This renders the often tedious direct electronic procedures, associated with measuring these forces, unnecessary. The various geometrical computations and comparisons indicate that the keogram analysis can be used with confidence and with an accuracy of 0,02 m to 0,1 m prototype scale. Further developments to also exploit this powerful methodology for other prototype and model monitoring of ship motions is underway.
