摘要

Modern societies show a predominant trend towards urbanization.From a mobility-oriented perspective， this trend is accompanied by an increasing number of mobility actors and vehicles resulting in massive so cial，environmental and traffic-related problems， e.g.increasing environmental pollution，traffic jams or ac cidents.Thus，there is a global need for more sustainable mobility solutions in metropolitan areas in terms of vehicle concepts，technologies，services and usage scenarios.This paper presents a research concept for sustainable mobility in metropolitan areas.it is pursued by the Automotive Research Centre Nieder sachsen and integrates approaches for intelligent， low-emission and flexible vehicles into holistic society and mobility concepts.
