Sitraffic Motion is an adaptive network control method developed by Siemens AG,rnGermany. Optimizing the cycle time is one essential feature of Sitraffic Motion. Therncycle time optimization is based on a stage based split optimization. The time seriesrnof cycle times calculated based on this split optimization however is not suitable forrna time series prognosis approach. For that reason a conflict group based cycle timerncalculation method is introduced which is used to perform a prognosis. The conflictrngroup based cycle time calculation however cannot be used alone in order torndetermine the cycle time because it does not consider the boundary conditions of thernstage based split optimization. Therefore the prognosis term calculated based onrnconflict groups is added to the cycle time calculated with the stage based splitrnoptimization. The stage based split optimization uses a second by second splitrndistribution method based on a decision matrix which will be explained in thisrncontribution as well as the conflict group based cycle time calculation.
