摘要

These two processes, friction welding and Magnetarc welding, have for many years been firmly established in the automotive industry for common materials such as steel and aluminum. In the future, however, these processes will gain greatly in importance, especially with regard to new materials such as ductile cast iron and Mg, joining of dissimilar materials, etc. In the very near future, new developments will be made in the fields of machine technology, process engineering, monitoring, documentation and, last but not least, service. Requirements for ease of recycling with regard to materials will also play an increasingly important role.
