摘要

980nm pump lasers are the key active component for amplification in telecommunication systems. Customers require high power, high wavelength and power stability and high reliability for the amplifier performance. Laser chip wavelength is critical for the performance. In practice, the laser wavelength is determined by the quantum well alloy composition and thickness. Precise wavelength control thus requires a repeatable epitaxial growth and laser fabrication process as well as minimum measurement error at all steps.
