摘要

3D model based Coverage of Directional Sensor Networks (DSNs) is one of the emerging and complex research topics in recent decades. To further remedy the deficiency of the 2D directional sensing model which can not accurately characterize the actual DSNs, a new 3D directional sensing model is established and the key parameters of it are calculated precisely which may be utilized in any algorithms. Moreover, motivated by the existing 2D coverage-enhancing algorithm of DSNs, Virtual Potential Field Based Coverage-Enhancing Algorithm (VPFCEA) is proposed in this paper, which is a development of the Virtual Potential Field (VPF). Finally, a set of simulation results are performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and thus the final coverage performance of DSNs can be enhanced. Besides, another simulation experiment results show the effect of the key parameters of our proposed model.
