Based on the classic continuous duopoly structure,this paper has constructed a model to study inter-industry M&A,spillovers and the influence of innovation.Inter-industry firms will be more possible to mergers,while the market volume becomes larger,and the cost of acquisitions becomes lower.When there is inter-industry mergers & acquisition,it will not only decrease their own innovation incentives but also reduce those of the vertical related firms.
