HLA (High Level Architecture) has been widely applied distributed interactive simulation field, and RTI (RunTime Infrastructure) is the supporting environment for HLA running and is distributed software system. HLA does not specify its realization. Up to now, there are different RTI release versions with different levels of functions and performances. To ensure selected RTI to satisfy simulation application requirements, it is necessary to test the functions and performances of selected RTI with underlying environment. This paper discusses the test technique adapted for RTI, providing comprehensive test framework, function test, performance test, and especially pressure test for concurrency and distributed feature. The test research is carried out with TH-RTI, which is developed by National CIMS Engineering Research Center of Tsinghua University, referring standard IEEE. 1516. The test results show that TH-RTI has realized full functions of IEEE.1516 and has high performances, especially, is robust under heavy simulation conditions.
