摘要

This paper explores the role of design management as a transformative force inside business organizations and a means to introduce innovations inside a socio cultural center in a marginal zone. A pre-experiment was introduced in a longitudinal case study in order to explore whether design management could assist in improving its financial performance, repositioning it in the cultural sphere and changing its business culture. Different design specializations were introduced using design management during a lapse of 8 months. Findings exhibited that using design specializations such as design leadership, design thinking and design management, help on transforming the organizational structure and management allowing an innovative culture.
