Design of an electrically small low profile on-the-move HF antenna with 24 kHz instantaneous impedance bandwidth and gain better than ???25 dBi for near vertical communications is presented. The antenna is mounted on the Oshkosh M-ATV and operates from 2 to 10 MHz. The profile is 0.8 m (??/190 at 2 MHz) above vehicle roof, the length is 3.6 m (??/742) and the width is 2.3 m (??/765). Shown computational study agrees well with measurements that will be shown later on.
