High fracture toughness (~2000 J/m~2) was found in the thermoplastic bonded DCB due to the plastic zone effect at the crack tip. Higher loading rates result in significant higher fracture toughness for Bemis6343. Curing temperature of the thermosetting adhesive has little effect on its DCB joint fracture toughness. All the joints failed cohesively.
