摘要

The behaviour of a molecular microsystem composed by a planar dipole monolayer and by proper metallic electrodes is studied in order to assess the possibility of information processing at molecular scale. It is shown that a three-port molecular structure emulates an Exclusive NOR logic gate, thus resulting in a computational paradigm of molecular information processing.
