摘要

Low certification rates in a Six Sigma (SS) certification program are a major concern for both the sponsor organizations and the certification firm. To be certified, candidates are required to approve an academic training program and apply the acquired knowledge in a field project. Past studies have shown that failure to obtain a SS certification is mainly due to incomplete field projects. This paper presents a systemic methodology to identify the effects that academic performance metrics have on project performance, through the integration of a Logistic Regression Analysis (LRA) and a Systems Dynamics Model (SDM). The LRA will provide the main effectors on project performance, which in turn will be used to construct and delineate the SDM. Results of this methodology will provide Six Sigma certification agencies insights on how to improve their certification programs.
