摘要

As globalization results in both pressure and drivers for Turkish enterprises to improve their environmental performance, it is expected that enterprises will need to implement strategies to reduce the negative environmental impacts of their products and services. To establish their environmental image, enterprises have to integrate environmentally friendly practices into their strategic plans and daily operations. This way of doing business may also provide new opportunities for competition. Some of the factors driving the competitive advantage through environmental performance are market expectations, risk management, regulatory compliance, and business efficiency. Green supply chain management (GSCM) has a key role in ensuring that all of these factors are addressed. Recently GSCM has emerged as a key approach for enterprises seeking to become sustainable in the competitive environment. This paper describes and evaluates adoption of GSCM practices among Turkish enterprises.
