Introduction High concentrate diet mightincreasemilk yield of dairy cows in short time,however,it could affect health status and decreasemilk quality of dairy cows.Subacute ruminal acidosis(SARA),a metabolic disorder,caused by highconcentrate and lowcrude fiber diet,characterized by episodes of low rumen pH,wihich was definded threshold pH as 6.0 (Bauer et al.,1995),is a common problem in high yielding dairy ruminant (Garret et al.,1997).The type and proportion of fatty acids in milk have significantinfluence on human health maintenance and disease prevention.Stearoyl coenzyme-A desaturase (SCD) catalyses the introduction of a cis-double bond between carbons 9 and 10 of fatty acids with a chain length of 10-18 carbons,and 90% ofcis-9,trans-11 conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) formed in milk due to the precusor,tran-11 vaccenicacid,and the activity of SCD(Keat et al.,2005).
