The Template Planning system links the creation of work orders in a client/server based Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with the controls of Primavera to provide efficient shutdown management. Templates provide standard job task lists for specific equipment jobs and use basis unit tables and environment modifiers to create accurate, consistent labor estimates to be entered into the planning and scheduling process. Templates also organize the entire shutdown project into six unique phases, allowing for better labor management and more effective progress reporting. Figure 1 shows the template system overview diagram.
