Nanyang Technological University.Simulating pedestrian behavior has many important applications in computer games, training systems, and entertainment industry.However, synthesizing realistic pedestrian behavior faces many challenges mainly due to the many factors that may affect a pedestrian's behavior. Developing a realistic pedestrian behavior model requires inputs fro different areas like psychology,sociology, physiology, AI, etc. In this paper, we propose a human behavior modeling framework for pedestrian simulation.Case studies have been conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed framework. We will summarize our major findings from these studies and give our suggestions on human behavior modeling.
