摘要

A single-degree-of-freedom vibroimpact system under a random train of impulses is considered. The system is assumed to be undamped and the energy losses are due to the elastic impacts at the rigid barrier, installed at the system static equilibrium position. The train of impulses is assumed to be driven by a Poisson counting process with a constant mean arrival rate. Impulses magnitudes are assumed to be independent random variables, identically distributed, i.e. characterized by one common probability distribution. Namely, zero mean Gaussian distribution of pulses is considered. The problem is treated by the recently developed Energy Balance method. The analytical results are verified against those obtained from direct numerical simulations. A good agreement of results is found for relatively small values of restitution coefficient characterizing the elastic impacts.
