EADS Astrium has developed a high reliable and flexible cold gas system (CGS) concept at low cost, which can easily be adapted to a wide range of space applications like attitude and orbit control, instrument calibration and drag/disturbance-free control rnThis cold gas propulsion concept is successfully proven on NASA/DLR's two GRACE satellites, which are operating nominally in-orbit since more than two years 1. Applications currently under implementation at EADS Astrium are the cold gas propulsion system for ESA's CrvoSat mission 2. and the instrument calibration system in the micro-Newton range for RSA's GOCR mission rnThis paper describes in detail the standard cold gas system including its procurement and verification approach and shows how the concept is tailored to the specific needs of the relevant missions. The in-orbit performance is presented from GRACE flight data Finally an outlook for next applications is given
