After a long period of operation of existing bridges, certain changes in geometric form and material properties of the structure may occur. Binwang Bridge in Yiwu is a three-span (55.25m+80m+52.25m) through concrete-filled steel tubular tied-arch bridge, which was opened to traffic in 1998. For operating status, we proceeded an experiment of static load and dynamic load. The static load and dynamic load test is to verify the reliability of theoretical analysis and design method, to test the quality of construction, to judge if the overall mechanical behaviours and load-carrying capacity of the bridge meet the requirements of design and specifications, and to master the dynamic characteristics of the bridge under various forms of vehicle load. The selection of the efficiency in static load (η) is taken into consideration in the study, in order to strengthen the monitoring of load and deformation and to determine the reasonable load time. Through the evaluation and analysis of the theoretical results and experimental results, it can be concluded that the strength and stiffness of the control section meet the design requirements, and that the bridge has a sufficient lateral rigidity and a great capacity to subject to overloading and eccentric load.
