Generally, tight buffer optical fiber cable (hereafter TB-OFC) is used at indoor application. Now, current trends make that to be operable at outdoor environment. But inherent properties of TB-OFC prevent that from operating in outdoor application by its poor temperature dependent property comparing with loose tube cable design. To overcome this disadvantage, many manufacturers have introduced various designs and cable constructions such as dual coated tight buffer, high modulus materials and so on. But the side effects of them are high cost, difficulty stripping buffered fiber and complex manufacturing process. We intend to avoid these problems with a modified manufacturing process having conventional cable constructions with low cost materials. And nowadays, environmental pollution is more and more concerned and regulated by several nations and international organizations. To meet the demands for the eco-friendly products and to reduce environmental harmfulness in the case of fire or disposal, LSZH(Low Smoke Zero Halogen) materials were chosen as for the cable elements.
