In this paper, the use of a Fuzzy Gain Scheduling IMC-PID (FGS+IMC-PID) scheme has beenrnpresented based on fuzzy performance degree coefficient η self-adjusting controller for the improvementrnof IMC-PID control. It is shown that the IMC-PID controller with the Fuzzy PID parameters GainrnScheduler provides satisfactory closed-loop responses with less overshoot and shorter rising times inrncase of both set point disturbance and the plant/model mismatch. Simulations are given, in which thernproposed method is compared to other PID tuning methods (IMC, SPMG). The proposed scheme isrnsuitable to implement in the complex process control system in power generation, since it does notrndemand significant computing resources It has already been implemented through Function Code inrnmany typical DCS (EDPU, XDPS, Ovation etc). The industrial applications show that the schemernachieves better performance in specific load variation range.
