This paper presents the test results of the effect of shear span-to-depth ratio on the shear strength of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforced concrete beams. The test variables were the shear span to depth ratio (a/d) and reinforcement type. The shear span to depth ratio was varied from 1.5 to 3.5. A total of six beams reinforced with glass FRP and carbon FRP bars were tested to determine their shear capacity. The beams were simply supported and tested under two-point loading. The test results were analyzed and presented in terms of crack and failure patterns, load-deflection behavior, and shear strength. It was observed that the shear span to depth ratio (a/d) has a significant influence on the shear strength of the beams.
