An experimental investigation was carried out to determine the effectiveness of an FRP sheet repair to blast and impact damaged reinforced concrete elements. Ten reinforced concrete (RC) elements with an identical design were constructed and subjected to varying degrees of blast and impact loading. Half of these specimens were then repaired using FRP materials. The damaged and repaired specimens, along with a control specimen, were then tested by axial loading to failure. In all cases, the FRP repaired specimens showed improved strength when compared to the unrepaired specimens. The strength gain ranged from less than 1% to 32%, with more significant comparative strength gains observed in the more heavily damaged specimen sets. In four of the five cases, the repair was successful in surpassing the strength of the undamaged control specimen.
