摘要

Clinical leprosy is characterized by a broad spectrum of host response, with great variability in clincial course of infection, histopathology, humor antibody response, and cell-mediated immunity. Mycobacterium leprae is an obligate intracellular pathogen that resides chiefly within cells of the mononuclear phagocyte system. Recent evidence suggests host acquired resistance to M.leprae crucially depends on cellular immune and lympoine-mediated helper and killer mechanism. However, little is known about the immune-mediated activation of NK-LAK-like cells, and their ability to kill M.leprae.
