摘要

Under the effects of loads, environments and interior factors of materials, the performance of civil engineering structures will deteriorate gradually.Appropriate health monitoring and damage detection is of great significance to ensure the structural safety and reliability.A time variant structural reliability model based on degradation rule is proposed in this paper.In the reliability model, the deterioration process is modeled as a gamma process, and the stochastic process of load is described by a Poisson process.On this basis, a total life cycle cost model of the structure including inspection costs, maintenance costs and failure loss is established based on which the total cost is minimized through proper maintenance strategy. The time variant reliability model and total life cycle cost model are validated through an example of a dike section.
