In the aviation industry, it is very important to analyze quantitatively the interactions amongpassengers, airlines and airport operators. In this paper, with taking into account behaviorsof passengers and airlines and airport capacities, we present a “Hierarchical Flight NetworkModel”, which has four advantages: 1) ability to explain the competition between airlinesconsidering the route choice behavior of passengers. 2) ability to depict the networkformation process of airlines. 3) ability to evaluate the effect of deregulation and airportadministrator's behaviors on aviation industry. 4) ability to simulate the complicatedaviation market in a reasonable and easy way.
