Educational Guidance to Students by Teachers Used the Database of Educational Institutions

When teachers guide students in educational institutions, it is not enough to use, as we do today, only changes of examination points and adjusted standard deviation score. It is also not enough to carry out guidance using only each students' data. However, even though teachers wish to make highly detailed guidance for the sake of students, the teachers have to spend enormous amount of time without useful tools and it is impossible to implement the guidance. Consequently, we make inquiries about students' learning situations, learning methods, motivation, learning attitudes, learning psychology, and more from various perspectives and turn these answers into data. Then we accumulate the data in a database along with students' examination scores. Here we demonstrate our research achievement about database to show what factors facilitate the improvement of each subject's score, and present a comprehensive improvement policy to students in an understandable way. We demonstrate the possibility of confirming students' current position in the whole group, expanding the method used in database marketing to the issue of improving educational quality, and giving students flexible guidance, providing advice on appropriate learning methods in accordance with students' characteristics by statistical analyses.
