The effect of 2,4-D and NAA concentration on callus induction of cotyledons and the differentiation of somatic embryogenesis was studied by tissue culture techniques. The results suggested that 2,4-D was the main factor in the inducing period. But NAA had the special function to induce somatic embryogenesis. The somatic embryogenesis inducing rate increased with the increase in NAA concentration and induction rate was over 50% of Mi-lu. Fu - ping, Gan-nong No. 3. The effective callus inducing media was MS+2,4-D2.0 mg • L~(-1) + NAA1.0 mg • L~(-1) + sucrose 30 g • L~(-1).
