In the process of delivering oil, for the delivering process of gathering pipeline isrncomplicated, the service life of pipeline and the quality of oil delivered will be highlyrninfluenced by pipeline corrosion caused by many reasons. Even the environment willrnbe polluted by leak, especially the severe corrosion (caused by the water in oil) of therninside wall in the gathering pipeline. The article focuses of the diagnosis of therncorrosion mechanism of the gathering pipeline and the affecting factors, includingrnthe sorts of corrosion and its corresponding protective measures. The author providesrnthe method of predicting the remaining service life of corrosive gas-oil pipelinernbased on the gray theory model.rnThe prediction of the remaining service life of corrosive pipeline including:rndetermination of maximum permissible corrosive depth; the prediction of corrosionrnrate; and the prediction of remaining service life. This method provides a scientificrnfoundation for the examination cycle of the corrosion of gas-oil pipeline.
