Primary trisomics were screened out directly in the pollen plants of autotetraploid rice. Twelve types of primary trisomics were screened in the combination of H5421. Primary trisomics plants account for 7% of pollen plants and 95.77% aneuploid. The identification of chromosome number is according to the character of chromosome syndesis of microspore during diaki-nesis, metaphase Ⅰ or anaphase Ⅰ in the meiosis. The constitution of chromosome is 2n = 2x + 1 = 25. There usually are two types of syndesis in primary trisomics plants during meiosis diakinesis and metaphase Ⅰ, which is 11Ⅱ + 1 Ⅲ or 12 Ⅱ + 1Ⅰ. Most of the chromosome pairing in trisomes at diakinesis and metaphase Ⅰ were 11Ⅱ+1Ⅲ, with averag of 65.68% and 72.34%, 12 Ⅱ+ 1? with averag of 33.67% and 26.93% and 11 Ⅱ + 3 Ⅰ with average of 0.23% and 0.26%, respectively. The type of trivalent usually is chain-type, Y-type and spoon-type in diakinesis and metaphase Ⅰ, while univalent is dot type. We identified the adscription of triplo-5 and triplo-8 by using karyotype analysis of pachtene.
