Quality is increasing becoming a vital issue in Korea. Recently, an extensive questionnaire survey has been conducted in order to find out the current status of quality management efforts in Korea. This paper describes the background, questionnaire design, and key findings of the survey. It also presents a number of areas that need to be further focused to enhance quality competitiveness of Korean industries. The survey results are valuable in that most questionnaires have been answered through face-to-face interviews.
