This study examines information technology architectureby replicating a North American survey in Taiwan, Indiaand England and evaluates the impact of each nation'seconomic status on information technology architectureused by that nation's businesses. The results suggest thatthe original taxonomy of information technologyarchitecture (centralized, decentralized, cooperativecentralized, and cooperative distributed) is valid andunaffected by national economic status.
