摘要

This paper will present the usability study of eleven supervision units of industrial environments. The study was conducted to achieve functional and experiential information for the concept design of the interiors and working clothes. The study is combining the questions of usability and meanings associated with the working environment for the purpose of creating an environment where the users' suitable experiential emotions are taken into consideration. This kind of working environment can have contrasting experiential requirements about work and rest, which the study tried to reach by using several study methods including projective techniques. The members of the multidisciplinary design group themselves conducted the study so that they had the possibility to empathise with the product users.
