摘要

It has been demonstrated that holographic interferometry can be successfully employed to characterize the stress induced behavior of an advanced exotic metal alloy flight control structure. Since mobile platforms present uniquely stressful environments, understanding the effects of mechanical stress and vibration, in such nonoperational test environments can insure the stability and integrity of the system and its component parts in actual flight operation. Holographic analysis has also proven to be a uniquely effective method of defining and analyzing critical structural characteristics otherwise indeterminate in simulation. Holographic techniques were included in ongoing development and subsequent production testing of the assemblies illustrated and have proven to be a most effective method of evaluating their critical dynamic characteristics.
