The innovative new press concept for new machines or rebuilds SMARNIP~® Mini Shoe Press is described. This development first appeared on the market in 2003 and its importance was immediately recognized through an innovation prize awarded at the ATIP international congress in Grenoble in the same year. Subsequently, there have been a number of successful installations, including a novel press rebuild of the Papeterie de Clairefontaine fine papers PM6 in France.
