摘要

Multi-Frequency Excitation Spectrogram (MFES) method for eddy current nondestructive testing was developed by the authors in order to improve traditional system performance. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate enhanced ability of the MFES method to discriminate flaw signal against interference from fasteners, subsurface structures, liftoff, minor scratches and other noises. A short description of the system is given. Noise suppression methods are suggested and tested. One of the various sensor is proposed. The extended experiments with interfering conducting structures for this sensor was performed and their results are presented and discussed.
