This paper presents the experimental study on the reinforced concrete (RC) column models for bridge piers subject to the cyclic bi-axial horizontal loading tests of the RC column models for bridge piers under the constant axial force, and the verification of the numerical analyses. In the experiment, the cyclic bi-axial horizontal loading tests was carried out by four cases, and the test parameter was sub axial horizontal load intensity to be not cyclic but constant. All the specimens failed in a fiexural mode. The peak strength of cyclic load in main horizontal axis decreased naturally as the load intensity in the sub horizontal axis increased. The interaction due to bi-axial loading obtained is discussed in comparison with existing design curves. In the numerical analyses, the simple material models that was some changed basic material model of confined concrete and reinforcement according to the Japanese specification were used. As the results, it shows a good agreement about the maximum load, but the load value from the results of the numerical analyses in the state of the unloading was larger than one from the experiments.
