摘要

Surface explosion generates both ground shock and airblast force on nearby structures. Contemporary assessment methods of structural responses and damage to surface explosions consider only either airblast forces or ground shock. This paper investigates the effects of simultaneous airblast force and ground shock on structures. Theoretical derivations of various structural response equations and numerical simulations of structural response power spectrum are presented. Random vibration method is employed in the analysis. Simultaneous ground shock and airblast forces derived from another study are used in the analysis. A continuous column model supporting a lumped mass is used to model the structure. Power spectra of displacement, acceleration, bending moment and shear force are calculated and presented. Numerical results of various response power spectra to simultaneous airblast force and ground shock, to airblast force, or to ground shock are simulated. The effects of neglecting either airblast forces or ground shock on structural response analysis are discussed.
