Based on the introduction of structural active control system, making the 2nd Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge as an example, the parameters of AMD (active mass damper) system for seismic responses control of long-span cable-stayed bridge are designed and optimized. The influences of adopting different mass and stiffness to the performance index and the maximum actor effect are analyzed. The safety of active control AMD system for the 2nd Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge is evaluated.
