In this study, experimental results for the bi-axial low cycle fatigue of Al7075-T651 alloys arerngiven, to investigate the low cycle fatigue behavior for the material. Five current multi-axialrnfatigue life prediction models are also investigated to find the best model which can be correlatedrnwith the experimental results. But none of these models can explain the transitional behaviorrnfrom pure torsion to in-phase loading condition.rnTo Investigate this transitional behavior the tests were performed under in-phase bi-axial loadrnwith 10 different strain ratios and the behavior can be explained by introducing the critical strainrnratio. And the modified elliptical function based on Brown & Miller’s approach gave betterrnfatigue life prediction for Al7075-T651 alloy.
