摘要

On behalf of the ASME-DED Technical Committee on Micro- and Nanosystems we welcome you to the Fourth International Conference on Micro- and Nanosystems (MNS) at the ASME IDETC 2010, held here in beautiful Montreal. This conference is a unique venue for presenting and exchanging ideas on the design, applied mechanics, dynamic systems and controls aspects of micro- and nanosystems and follows the successful first three years of the conference. This year, 63 papers have been accepted for technical presentation. The accepted papers have been grouped under 8 single-track and 4 parallel-track sessions (total of 16 sessions) with specific themes, and a special 'rapid-fire' poster session as well. These sessions cover application areas in applied mechanics and contact, biological applications, bio-MEMS, energy harvesting, microano robotics, and nanomanufacturing.
