This paper demonstrates the power of multi-level queries in MS Access, showing how they may be used torngenerate an indented Bill of Material without recourse to programming code (such as Visual Basic). Therndevelopment took place in an SME that specialises in providing ultrasonic solutions to industrial problems. Therngenerating of indented BOMs was one part of a project to provide a costing system for their assembledrnproducts.
