The first Advanced Integrated Analytical (AIA) System for grouting, the IntelliGrout~(TM) System (U.S. Patent Pending), was introduced in 2001. AIA Systems are fundamentally different in nature from Data Collection & Display (DCD) Systems, and they represent an enormous leap forward beyond what recently has been considered state-of-the-art grouting technology. The IntelliGrout System is a comprehensive integration of data collection, real-time data display, database functions, real-time analytical capabilities, and CADD. Information can be input or extracted and displayed real-time through any of the source components. The power of an AIA System lies in its ability to perform instant and virtually unlimited grouting program analyses and to be able to convert these complex numerical analyses into simple, visual color displays on a CADD profile. Patterns, anomalies, compliance or non-compliance, and conditions of special interest are immediately evident, even to an untrained eye. The analytical ability of AIA Technology enables the grouting team to make technically sound, cost effective, real-time program modifications to best accommodate the geologic conditions as they are disclosed. The new technology makes the results clear and understandable by both technical and non-technical persons, which is often critical for effective decision making. Use of AIA Technology can provide major time and cost savings on grouting projects, and it can substantially improve both the quality and effectiveness of grouting.
