摘要

The refrigeration sector is a major economic sector.All its traditional and innovative applications are expanding on a worldwide scale and will continue to expand in the future in order to serve a growing global population and meet individual needs.At the same time,refrigeration has been linked to ozone depletion and global warming.The two underlying reasons need to be clearly identified in order to address them:the impact of leakage of certain refrigerants on stratospheric ozone and global warming and the energy consumption of refrigeration plants.Measures designed to address these two areas have already been implemented or are being discussed.Constraints will be reinforced and the seeking of suitable ways to address the impact of refrigeration on the environment without impeding growth in the sector is the IIR’s role.This paper will present the overarching features of this policy.
