The New Hire and MC21 training modules offer formal, online training in two key knowledge areas and provide a strong foundation for continued development of the Nuclear Engineering Training Program. Additional modules will be developed in other key areas, such as Diffusion Theory and Nuclear Design, as necessary in the future. In addition to the training modules, new knowledge management tools associated with MOSS will be explored. MOSS provides easy implementation of modern communication tools such blogs, wikis, and discussion forums. KAPL will evaluate using these new tools in a formal environment in order to supplement the online training modules.
