摘要

Higher education serves for the consolidation and development of a country's economy, society and culture. When it aims for the amalgamation of internationalization and nationalization, there is a contradiction running through the whole process of the internationalization of higher education. It is pounding the traditional culture of the developing countries as that of the west is playing a leading role thanks to its advantages embodied in higher education. Compared with the developed countries, the cultural erosion for the internationalization of higher education protrudes the national cultural security of the developing countries, and it may bring the problem of cultural post-colonialism into the developing countries in that the western countries still have the discourse power in higher education. Therefore the developing countries must be conscious of such problems and make strategies to safeguard the national interests and cultural security. As to China, traditional Chinese culture should be valued and developed under the background of internationalization of higher education, hi addition, it is also of great necessity to develop the Confucius colleges for the popularity of Chinese culture.
