摘要

The last decade Europe has been working on a new test and classification system (EN 13501) for both Reaction to Fire and Resistance to Fire. This EUROCLASSES system has become operational and results in the year 2002 in the first construction products carrying the CE-mark. With this CE-mark products are free to circulate within the European Union. The Euroclass system is rather complex since classification has become function of the 'end use application' of the product. This results in a multitude of testing and classes for a same product with different applications, or for products with one application but different mounting and fixing conditions. Good advice in this matter is invaluable.
